Location: Leeds

Hours of work: 41.25 hours, 14:00 - 22:00

Salary: £36,000–£38,000, with overtime paid daily after 17:00

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client, ISS, is seeking an experienced Fixed Wire Tester (Out of Hours) / Electrical Compliance Engineer to work across the whole ISS account, completing Fixed Wire Testing and Electrical Condition Inspection Reports (EICRs), and creating remedial work loads across various contracts.

This role is part of the Key Account Network specialist electrical team and requires the delivery of electrical inspection, testing and remedial works to a consistently high standard, ensuring customer expectations are fully met.

Job Description

We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible and well-organised individual who is able to work on their own initiative while maintaining full compliance with statutory regulations and ISS HSEQ policies.

The successful candidate will provide a professional service, represent ISS positively at all times, and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with BS7671: 18th Edition wiring regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake electrical inspection, testing and remedial works across multiple ISS contracts.
  • Complete Fixed Wire Testing and Electrical Condition Inspection Reports (EICRs).
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with BS7671: 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Achieve high standards of quality, service and presentation at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and ISS HSEQ policies and procedures.
  • Liaise proactively with customers, addressing concerns or escalating to line management as required.
  • Accurately complete and submit all certification, documentation and records within required timescales.
  • Maintain personal, vehicle and job records in line with company operating procedures.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Proven experience carrying out Fixed Wire Testing in a commercial environment.
  • Electrical qualifications including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection and Testing.
  • Strong understanding of contract requirements and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to resolve electrical technical issues, estimate costs, and complete testing and certification with minimal disruption.
  • Confident using own initiative to meet company and client contractual needs.
  • Able to identify issues early, resolve where possible, and escalate to ISS Line Management when required.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential) - company van provided.
