Role Overview
- Manage repair and services of mechanical and electrical issues related in Fleet management team.
- Monitoring and arranging Engineering Fleet vehicles for the testing purpose in relation to tests for powertrain and chassis.
Key Responsibilities
- This role is to manage repair and service the mechanical and electrical related issues in the Fleet management team of Power train and Chassis department.
- The Job role involves Monitoring and scheduling the checking, testing of Engineering vehicles for required testing and validation of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Removes, dismantles, repairs and replaces defective parts and prepares new parts using appropriate tools.
- Monitoring and arranging Engineering Fleet vehicles for the testing purpose in relation to tests for powertrain and chassis.
- Managing the test reports and coordinating with cross functional teams. Organising technical reviews with stake holders and prepare the MOM.
- Planning the workshop requests for resolving the issues and raising parts orders to replace faulty parts. Monitoring Fleet utilization report and share to required stake holders.
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure meeting project requirements is a key focus. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement through detailed process analysis and recommending ways to enhance efficiency in fleet management
- Issue tracking and updating in KPM Tool
- Progressing the changes as required using VW change tools such as AVON/Tevon/KVS etc.
- Status reporting to cross functional team and updating the changes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in leading Automotive industry
- Exposure of onsite-offshore working model
- Good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic aspects of Automotive systems
- Good understanding of product specifications and manufacturing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Skilled in Catia V5
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge on VW/Bentley Product lines with understanding for MY and CMP vehicles.
- Strong knowledge on VW systems, tools and process like AVON/KVS/Tevon, etc
- Experience in working with onsite and offshore collaboration in delivering the project to customer.
