Job Advert Description  

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Fleet Technician in the Fleet Services Department.

Please note that the base location for this role is Newtown. However, there is flexibility for the successful candidate to be based in Aberystwyth if preferred, with an occasional requirement to travel to Newtown as and when required (a force vehicle can be used for commuting to Newtown for those based in Aberystwyth).

What you will be doing? 

To service, repair, diagnose and commission Fleet vehicles in an efficient and timely manner, supporting operational policing and 
departmental requirements.  
Role Specific Tasks:
1. To service and repair Force vehicles to meet MOT and Dyfed Powys Police standards. 
2. To fabricate and repair vehicles and install specialist electronic equipment to meet operational requirements. 
3. To commission and decommission vehicles so the Fleet standards are maintained.
