Floor Layer - Social Housing Repairs (Permanent)
Cambridge Based | Covering Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge, Essex, Luton & Watford
Salary: £38,000 + Van & Fuel Card

We are working with a leading social housing contractor who are seeking an experienced Floor Layer Operative to join their reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and installations within tenanted social housing properties across Cambridge and surrounding areas, with wider travel across the East and Home Counties.

The role will involve a range of flooring works including Altro flooring, cap and cove, vinyl installations, and general floor repairs within occupied residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out flooring repairs and installations in tenanted properties
• Working with a range of materials including Altro, vinyl, and cap & cove systems
• Delivering high-quality reactive maintenance work
• Using PDA systems to manage and complete job tasks

Requirements:

• NVQ / City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience in floor laying within social housing or domestic repairs
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Experience working in occupied properties
• Confident using PDA/job management systems
• Professional, clean, and customer-focused approach
• Must be based in or around the Cambridge area
