EdStaff are looking for a Food Technology Teacher for a role starting as soon as possible at a supportive secondary school in Wigan. The school are seeking a teacher with a passion for hands-on learning that promotes creativity and inclusivity. You should be adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to achieving strong outcomes for all students.
As a Food Technology, you will be responsible for providing high quality teaching to KS3 and 4 across both theory and practical lessons whilst maintaining high standards of health and safety. The right candidate should be able to develop positive relationships and encourage all students to reach their full potential in the subject. You should be able to integrate efficiently into a new school and quickly settle into and contribute to both the department and the wider school community.

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver the Drama national curriculum to Ks3 and 4
- Ignite creativity and confidence in students
- Contribute to raising standards and providing opportunities for all students
- Support pupils with SEND
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and safety
- Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
