Food Technology Teacher Required – Breckland
Teach Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to work within a supportive secondary school in the Breckland area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about developing students' practical skills, nutritional knowledge and confidence in food preparation and cooking.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop essential life skills while promoting creativity, safety and healthy lifestyles.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons
- Teaching practical food preparation, nutrition and healthy eating
- Ensuring safe working practices within the food technology environment
- Monitoring and assessing student progress
- Preparing students for coursework and examinations where applicable
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Managing resources and equipment effectively
- Contributing to departmental development and curriculum initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants should:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Food Technology within UK secondary schools
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Possess excellent subject knowledge and practical expertise
- Be committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
