Forge Finisher (Temp to Perm)

Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £14.43 – £14.97 per hour + £51.50 weekly shift allowance
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Afternoons

• Monday – Thursday
  • Mornings: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Friday (early finish)
  • Mornings: 6:00am – 12:00pm
  • Afternoons: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

The Opportunity:
Elevation Recruitment are working with a well-established precision engineering business supplying into the medical and aerospace sectors, who are looking to recruit an experienced Forge Finisher on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable manufacturer, with the potential to secure a permanent role following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finishing forged components to required specifications and tolerances
• Operating linishing, grinding, and finishing equipment
• Removing excess material, burrs, and imperfections from forged parts
• Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
• Carrying out visual and dimensional quality checks
• Ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in forging, grinding, linishing, or metal finishing
• Experience within medical, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
