Our client, a rapidly growing international organisation within the organic food and ingredients sector, is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Forklift Operator to support warehouse and logistics operations at its Rotterdam facility. Job Role
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods across the site. Working closely with warehouse and production teams, you will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting inbound and outbound logistics, and ensuring operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks safely to load, unload, move, and stack materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging throughout the facility.
- Ensure accurate placement and storage of goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and warehouse protocols at all times.
- Support inventory management processes, including stock rotation (FIFO where applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards within the warehouse.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to a strong safety culture with a focus on zero incidents and accidents.
Personal Profile
- Valid forklift licence/certification in line with Netherlands regulations.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience within FMCG or food environments would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and material handling processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of health & safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work shifts and meet operational deadlines.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic English communication skills required (Dutch is an advantage).
- Valid work authorisation for the Netherlands/EU.
