About Us

COSRO Group Limited is a well-established, family-run construction and property maintenance company specialising in social housing repairs, refurbishment, retrofit, and fire safety works across London and the surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced FRA Surveyor to join our expanding fire safety division.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fire safety surveying and inspections within occupied social housing properties, identifying fire safety defects, producing detailed reports, and supporting the delivery of FRA remedial works in line with current legislation and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting fire safety and FRA surveys within residential and social housing properties
  • Identifying fire safety defects and non-compliance issues
  • Surveying fire doors, compartmentation, passive fire protection, and associated fire safety elements
  • Producing clear and accurate survey reports with photographs and recommendations
  • Measuring and scoping remedial works
  • Liaising with clients, residents, site teams, and subcontractors
  • Ensuring all works comply with current fire safety regulations and standards
  • Supporting pricing, planning, and delivery of remedial fire safety works
  • Attending site meetings and providing technical support where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an FRA Surveyor within the social housing or construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety works and surveying procedures
  • Experience surveying:
    • Fire doors
    • Fire stopping
    • Compartmentation
    • Passive fire protection systems
  • Ability to produce detailed and accurate reports
  • Good understanding of current fire safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Competent using Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Desirable

  • FIRAS / Passive Fire qualifications
  • Experience working within occupied residential properties
  • Knowledge of social housing compliance requirements
  • Asbestos awareness certification
