Frontline Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Frontline Supervisor to join a major infrastructure project in Redcar. This is a key site-based role responsible for supervising operational activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements

The Role 

• Working closely with Site Management, Engineers, and subcontractors, you will provide day-to-day leadership on site, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while driving programme delivery.
• Supervise and coordinate daily site operations within your designated work area.
• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved method statements and risk assessments.
• Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
• Monitor workforce productivity and ensure resources are effectively utilised.
• Coordinate subcontractors, plant operators, and site personnel to achieve programme targets.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained and works are completed in line with project specifications.
• Identify and report potential issues, delays, and risks to the Site Manager.
• Maintain accurate site records, including labour, plant, and progress reports.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Assist with planning and organising upcoming works to ensure efficient project delivery.

Experience / Qualifcations

• Previous experience in a Frontline Supervisor, General Foreman, or Supervisory role within civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of site operations, health and safety legislation, and construction best practices.
• Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors on site.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and work specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• CSCS Card (essential).
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (essential).
• First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
• Temporary Works Supervisor qualification (desirable).

Remuneration:

• £300 - £330 per day (dependent on experience)
