Pay Rate: £12.71 to £13.00 per hour ((DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:00pm (40 hours per week)

About the Role

We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Operative to join a busy team based in Southend-on-Sea. This is a hands-on role that will involve a variety of maintenance tasks including painting and general labouring duties. This is a great opportunity for someone who is practical, versatile, and available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• General painting and decorating of internal and external areas
• Preparing surfaces prior to painting, including sanding, filling, and priming
• Carrying out general labouring tasks to support the maintenance team
• Assisting with site clearance, moving materials, and general upkeep of the premises
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, safe, and tidy at all times
• Following health and safety guidelines on site at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in a maintenance, painting, or labouring role
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Own basic hand tools preferred
