General Operative - Immediate Start
Location: HU9, Hull
Pay Rate: £14.36 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Must be flexible to work rotating shifts when required:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Monday to Friday
- No weekend work
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join a busy and growing flooring and wall-covering manufacturing company based in the HU9 area. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced production environment and offers a long-term opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the manufacture and processing of flooring products
- Load and unload materials and finished products
- Operate machinery and equipment (full training provided)
- Carry out packing, cleaning, and general production duties
- Perform basic quality checks and report any defects
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Follow all company procedures and health & safety regulations
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets
Requirements
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment is preferred
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving materials safely
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn new skills
- Able to work rotating shifts when business needs require
