An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and talented Lead Teacher of Geography to join a thriving Humanities department at a successful secondary school in North West London.

The school is looking for a highly effective classroom practitioner with the passion and leadership skills to drive outstanding teaching and learning across the Geography department. This role would suit an experienced teacher or current middle leader looking to take the next step in their leadership journey.

The successful candidate will play a key role in curriculum development, staff support and raising attainment across all key stages, while helping to foster a culture of curiosity, challenge and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and model outstanding Geography teaching across KS3 to KS5
  • Support curriculum planning, assessment and departmental improvement
  • Drive student progress and attainment across all year groups
  • Coach and support colleagues to improve teaching practice
  • Promote enrichment opportunities including fieldwork and wider learning
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement priorities

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS and a relevant degree
  • Have a proven track record of excellent classroom outcomes
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Be passionate about Geography and curriculum innovation
