This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to kick-start their planning career with a supportive, multidisciplinary consultancy that delivers a diverse range of projects across the South West and beyond.
The Opportunity
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of planning projects across residential, commercial, leisure, renewable energy, and rural development sectors. Working alongside experienced planners and designers, you will be involved in all stages of the planning process, helping clients navigate complex planning challenges and achieve successful outcomes.
This role offers structured professional development and mentorship, making it an ideal position for someone seeking to work towards MRTPI accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
- Undertaking planning policy research and site appraisals.
- Preparing planning statements and supporting reports.
- Liaising with local authorities, consultees, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting project teams on a wide range of development projects.
- Monitoring planning applications and policy updates.
- Attending site visits, meetings, and public consultations where required.
About You
- Degree or Master's qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Working towards or eligible for RTPI membership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research, analytical, and organisational abilities.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
