Ground Worker

A1 Jobs are are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker to join our clients growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of civil engineering and construction projects, carrying out groundwork activities to support site operations and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Excavation and preparation of sites.
• Laying foundations, drainage systems, kerbs, and paving.
• Concreting, trenching, and backfilling.
• Operating small plant and machinery where qualified.
• Assisting with site setup and general labouring duties.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Ground Worker or in a similar construction role.
• Valid CSCS card (essential).
• CPCS/NPORS plant tickets (desirable).
• Good understanding of site health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
