Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team at Radbroke Hall, a prestigious technology campus near Knutsford.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large, high-profile estate that supports over 2,000 colleagues daily. The campus features a diverse range of outdoor environments including landscaped gardens, woodlands, lawns, sports turf, ponds and biodiversity-focused green spaces, all maintained to exceptionally high standards.

Working as part of an established grounds team and reporting to the Grounds Manager and Grounds Supervisor, the postholder will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the estate. The role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in presentation, and is committed to delivering a safe, professional and visually outstanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out lawn mowing and general turf maintenance
  • Undertake hedge cutting, pruning and shrub maintenance
  • Maintain flowerbeds, woodland areas and wildflower spaces
  • Carry out weed control and herbicide application where required
  • Support basic landscaping and grounds improvement works
  • Complete leaf clearance, litter picking and gritting duties
  • Operate, maintain and care for grounds machinery and tools
  • Support biodiversity initiatives and overall estate presentation standards

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or estate maintenance
  • RHS or NVQ qualification in Horticulture, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
  • PA1 and PA6a certification desirable
  • Physically capable of undertaking a demanding outdoor role
  • Confident using mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and other grounds equipment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points
