Loom Talent has been exclusively appointed by a leading UK pallet network provider to appoint an industry leading Group Commercial Director - Pallet Network as part of its long-term growth strategy.

Operating through a nationwide member network, our client is a recognised name within the UK logistics sector and is entering an exciting phase of expansion, investment, and transformation.

As part of this growth journey, they are seeking an experienced commercial leader to join the senior leadership team and take responsibility for driving revenue growth, strengthening network relationships, enhancing customer engagement, and identifying new market opportunities across the UK.

This is a rare opportunity to influence strategy at Board level while playing a key role in shaping the future direction of a well-established and ambitious organisation.

The Role

The Group Commercial Director - Pallet Network will be responsible for leading the commercial function across the UK, developing and executing strategies that deliver sustainable growth, increased market share, and enhanced profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a UK-wide commercial strategy aligned to the organisation's growth objectives.
  • Driving revenue growth through new business acquisition, strategic partnerships, and customer retention initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with network members, major customers, shareholders, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identifying emerging market opportunities, customer requirements, and commercial trends.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing commercial team.
  • Working closely with operational, customer service, finance, and leadership teams.
  • Supporting network members in identifying growth opportunities.
  • Enhancing customer experience and loyalty through innovative commercial initiatives.
  • Using data, technology, and market intelligence to drive competitive advantage.
  • Representing the business at industry events and strategic forums.
  • Contributing to Board-level discussions and future business strategy.
  • Driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and commercial excellence.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate for the Group Commercial Director - Pallet Network opportunity will have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background, including Transport, Freight or Pallet Network - Essential.
  • Previous Commercial Director, Sales Director, Business Development Director or equivalent experience - Essential.
  • Proven record of delivering revenue growth and commercial success - Essential.
  • Experience leading high-performing commercial teams - Essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management and Board-level influence - Essential.
  • Demonstrable success implementing commercial strategies - Essential.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen - Essential.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills - Essential.
  • Membership, franchise, network, or partner-led business experience - Advantageous.
  • Previous pallet network experience - Highly Desirable.
  • Ability to travel nationally with regular West / East Midlands presence - Essential.
