Handyman

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman / Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative to carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance duties across residential and/or commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, ensuring all jobs are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general handyman duties including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor repairs
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with schedules
• Attend reactive maintenance jobs and emergency call-outs
• Conduct plumbing maintenance such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, and unblocking drains
• Perform minor electrical works (e.g. changing light fittings, switches)
• Carry out painting, decorating, and making good works
• Complete basic carpentry tasks (doors, locks, skirting, fittings)
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across multiple trades
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
• Maintain accurate job reports and documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance operative, or multi-skilled tradesperson
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, general building maintenance, and repairs
• Experience carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
