With a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement, they are looking for a motivated Head Grounds Manager to oversee the upkeep and development of their extensive site.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Activity Centre grounds and surrounding areas to a high standard. You will lead and support junior members of the team, ensuring they receive the training and guidance needed to perform their roles effectively. This is a hands-on position where you will take ownership of the grounds, plan workloads, and ensure the site remains safe, attractive, and well-maintained throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management and have experience maintaining sports turf and outdoor facilities. Previous supervisory or management experience would be beneficial. You will be a proactive individual who enjoys taking responsibility, can work independently, and is happy to get involved in all aspects of grounds maintenance.

The Role:
* Manage and maintain the Activity Centre grounds and surrounding areas
* Lead, train and support junior members of the grounds team
* Ensure high standards of sports turf and grounds maintenance
* Plan and organise workloads across the site
* 40-hour week, typically 8am to 5pm, with reduced winter hours

The Person:
* Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf Management
* Experience maintaining sports turf or similar grounds environments
* Previous team leadership or supervisory experience desirable
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Happy to live in the on-site apartment or commute to Canons Park, Edgware
