Based in Poole, you’ll step into a pivotal leadership role, driving financial excellence across a growing, multi-site business with a strong record of stability and employee engagement.

What will the Head of Finance role involve?

  • Lead and develop a finance team, covering payroll, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control
  • Ensure the production of accurate management accounts for multiple sites and detailed reporting as required by the business
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and successful completion of audits
  • Maintain compliance with all statutory and reporting requirements, including HMRC submissions
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the finance function and associated systems
  • Support a structured handover with the current Head of Finance, ensuring knowledge transfer and stability
  • Provide clear financial insight to the Finance Director, senior leadership, and non-finance stakeholders
  • Play a key role in shaping the ongoing financial strategy within a growing, commercially focused, values-driven organisation

Suitable Candidate for the Head of Finance role:

  • Professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience and a background in leading operational finance teams
  • Strong people management skills and ability to coach, develop, and motivate both qualified and non-qualified staff.
  • Previous experience within a multi-site organisation would be ideal
