Description

  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies within the public sector.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making.
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies for long-term sustainability.
  • Manage the finance team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks within the organisation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with organisational objectives.

Profile

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven expertise in managing financial operations within a Local Authority housing function.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements (HRA).
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Offer

  • Competitive daily rate between £700 and £750.
