🚛 We’re Hiring: Head of Fleet – Pickfords

Are you an experienced fleet professional ready to lead at a national level?

Pickfords is looking for a Head of Fleet to take ownership of our UK-wide vehicle operations, driving compliance and efficiency across the business.

🔧 About the Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 200 vehicles (3.5T–18T), working closely with operational managers across the UK to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and in full compliance.

📍 Location

Midlands-based, with regular attendance at our office near Junction 26  M1 (Nottingham).

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the management of a diverse national fleet.

• Ensuring full compliance, including Operator’s Licence oversight
• Supporting regional managers with driver and fleet compliance
• Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
• Overseeing workshops and service standards across the network
• Managing fleet costs, fines, and day-to-day expenditure
• Handling fleet administration (V5s, purchase orders, etc.)
• Producing weekly reports for senior leadership

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Transport Manager CPC (essential)
• Recent hands-on fleet management experience
• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing commercial vehicles (highly desirable)
