Position Overview:

Elevation Recruitment are partnering with a national construction business who work with governing bodies, public sectors and private sector frameworks.  

Candidates from a modular, construction, engineering, manufacturing, rental or B2B sectors will be considered.

Job Summary

The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategy to support the company's growth ambitions across the UK and Northern Europe. The role provides strategic leadership for all marketing, communications, brand, digital marketing, lead generation, public relations and customer engagement activities.

As a key member of the Management Team, the Head of Marketing will drive market awareness, strengthen brand positioning, generate qualified sales opportunities, and support the achievement of business growth objectives across both the temporary and permanent modular sectors.

The role will lead the internal marketing team, manage external agency relationships and work closely with the Business Development Advisers (BDA), Sales Teams and Operational Leaders to ensure marketing activity delivers measurable commercial outcomes

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and deliver the company's marketing strategy in line with corporate objectives and growth plans.
  • Contribute to annual business planning and long-term strategic development.
  • Identify market opportunities, emerging trends and competitive threats.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and strategic recommendations to the Management Team.
  • Manage the relationships with the executive board & key stakeholders (Sales Directors) in the business to drive marketing strategy with solution driven approach.

Brand and Market Positioning

  • Lead the development and protection of the brands.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Develop compelling value propositions for target sectors and markets.
  • Strengthen brand awareness and market positioning across the UK and Northern Europe.

Demand Generation and Sales Enablement

  • Develop and implement data-driven lead generation programmes.
  • Support sales growth through targeted sector campaigns and account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with BDA and Sales teams to maximise marketing contribution to sales pipeline generation.
  • Drive customer acquisition strategies across all appropriate channels.
  • Support the Sales Director’s Granularity of Growth initiatives and market penetration plans.

Digital Marketing and CRM

  • Lead the company's digital marketing strategy, including website, SEO, data generation, PPC, email marketing, social media and marketing automation.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM systems to improve lead management, campaign performance and customer insight.
  • Utilise data and analytics to optimise marketing investment and return on investment.

Public Relations and Communications

  • Manage PR strategy and external communications across all markets.
  • Manage crisis communications when required.
  • Maximise opportunities for thought leadership, awards and industry recognition.

Market Intelligence and Customer Insight

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Develop customer insight programmes to improve customer experience and marketing effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for new market development and growth.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, motivate and develop the marketing team.
  • Manage external agencies, consultants and supplier performance, agency selection along with procurement / review of existing supply chain.
  • Establish clear objectives, KPIs and performance measures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Internal Communications and Employer Brand

  • Support the HR/ ESG function in developing employer branding initiatives.
  • Ensure company values and culture are effectively communicated internally.
  • Support recruitment and employee engagement campaigns where appropriate.

Financial Management

  • Prepare, manage and monitor the annual marketing budget.
  • Ensure marketing expenditure delivers measurable return on investment.
  • Evaluate and report on campaign effectiveness and commercial impact.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualification desirable.
  • Minimum 7 years' marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience of developing and delivering successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong digital marketing, CRM and lead generation expertise.
  • Experience working within construction, manufacturing, engineering, rental or B2B sectors would be advantageous.
