About the Role
Our client, a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in West London, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Science to lead a dynamic and successful department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ambitious leader to drive innovation, raise attainment, and inspire a passion for science across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Science department (Chemistry, and Physics)

• Lead, develop, and support a team of teaching staff to deliver outstanding lessons

• Oversee curriculum design, implementation, and assessment across KS3–KS5

• Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies

• Manage departmental resources, including laboratories and equipment

• Promote STEM engagement and enrichment opportunities

• Contribute to whole-school leadership and improvement planning

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in a Science discipline

• Proven experience teaching Science up to KS5

• Successful leadership experience within a secondary school setting

• A track record of improving student outcomes and departmental performance

• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills

• A commitment to high standards and inclusive education
