£45-£60k p/a - Range based on Experience + Private Healthcare + 25 days holiday

5D are pleased to be working with an innovative tech startup based in Oakham.  As a result of their continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to assume the role of Head of Strategic Operations.

This pivotal position involves overseeing the organisation’s long-term operational strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and driving sustainable growth. The successful candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a proven track record in strategic planning and operational excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the organisation’s future direction and optimise operational efficiencies across multiple departments.

Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor organisational strategies to achieve long-term goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment with strategic objectives
  • Analyse market trends and internal data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and oversee their realisation across departments
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance
  • Collaborate with senior management to shape organisational policies and procedures
  • Manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally to support strategic initiatives
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management related to strategic projects
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Experience:

  • Extensive management experience at a senior level within a complex organisation
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards shared goals
  • Demonstrable success in developing and executing organisational strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data for informed decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience in change management programmes is highly desirable
  • A recognised qualification in business administration, management, or related fields is preferred but not essential
