Health Care Assistant

Job description:

Our client is seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers / Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred support an elderly person diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease  with a mixed athetoid and spastic presentation. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support to engage in meaningful, varied activities and prevent boredom.
• Full assistance with daily living tasks and safe positioning.
• Support with personal care and daily living tasks as required, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Skilled support to ensure safe transfers, correct posture, and safe feeding.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience as a Support Worker, Carer, or Healthcare Assistant.
• Experience supporting individuals with Parkinsons, speech delay, mobility issues.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
