About the Company
Our client is one of the UK’s leading renewable energy and building services contractors, delivering innovative energy and infrastructure projects across the commercial and public sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support multiple live projects across London.
This is a highly site-focused role suited to someone who enjoys being operationally involved, building relationships with site teams, and taking ownership of their own diary and workload.
The Role
The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for supporting project delivery teams across a range of construction and engineering sites throughout London. The successful candidate will conduct regular inspections and audits, provide practical health & safety guidance on-site, and report findings and recommendations back to senior management and head office.
This position offers a strong level of autonomy, allowing individuals to manage and plan their own schedule while supporting multiple active sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and health & safety audits
- Provide proactive support and guidance to operational and site teams
- Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company procedures
- Produce inspection reports and communicate findings to head office and management teams
- Identify risks and support corrective actions where required
- Promote a positive health & safety culture across all projects
- Liaise closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients
- Support incident investigations and follow-up actions when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor position within construction
- Ideally from an MEP, fit-out, or building services background
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
- Good understanding of UK health & safety legislation
- Full UK driving licence beneficial but not essential due to London travel coverage
