Our client is a well-established and highly respected Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across London and the South East. Operating across commercial, residential, student accommodation and healthcare sectors, the business has built long-standing relationships with clients through a commitment to quality, safety and operational excellence.

Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the business on a contract basis, supporting multiple live construction sites across London.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety reviews across multiple projects
- Monitor compliance with current HSE legislation, company procedures and client requirements
- Produce inspection reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
- Support site management teams with risk assessments, RAMS reviews and safe systems of work
- Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings and health & safety training where required
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations
- Assist in developing and improving company HSEQ policies and procedures
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the business
- Liaise with external bodies including the HSE, local authorities and client representatives
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to health & safety compliance
- Provide practical advice and guidance to operational teams on all HSEQ matters


Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry
- Experience working for a Main Contractor on commercial, residential, student accommodation or healthcare projects
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and construction compliance requirements
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships with site teams and subcontractors
- Strong report writing and organisational skills
- Membership of IOSH or working towards chartered status
- Experience across multi-site operations
- Temporary Works or Fire Safety knowledge
- First Aid qualification
