Healthy and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee all HSE aspects of fast-paced Amazon warehouses across Norwich, Ipswich and Peterborough This is a 6-month contract role requiring a proactive professional with strong site presence and a solid background in construction or large-scale industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site health & safety activities
  • Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and company policies
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statement reviews (RAMS), and site audits
  • Provide guidance and support to site teams, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing safety training
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reports
  • Liaise with project management, clients, and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager on construction or logistics/warehouse projects
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); NEBOSH Diploma preferred
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage site safety culture effectively
  • CSCS Card (Black or equivalent preferred)

Desirable:

  • Previous experience on large-scale warehouse or distribution centre projects
  • Experience working on high-profile or fast-track builds
