About the Company

A well-established and growing general haulage business based in Tamworth is expanding its transport operation and is now looking to recruit experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join its professional driving team. Specialising in nationwide distribution of palletised goods, this is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers seeking long-term, consistent work.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Trunking and RDC-to-RDC deliveries
• Nationwide deliveries across the UK
• No handball – all palletised freight
• Ensuring all delivery and transport paperwork is completed accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Operating in line with DVSA regulations, drivers’ hours, and Working Time Directive requirements
• Delivering a professional service representing both the business and its customers

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

✔ A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
✔ Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
✔ Valid Driver CPC qualification
✔ Valid Digital Tachograph card
✔ No more than 6 penalty points (No DR, DD, IN endorsements)
✔ Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network
✔ A professional attitude with strong safety awareness
✔ Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
