HGV Class 1 Delivery Driver Location: Norfolk Depot (NR16)

Salary: £45,000 basic, plus overtime and night away payments, combining to offer a high and achievable OTE

The Role

Based at our Norfolk depot, you will report directly to the Depot Manager and collaborate closely with our dedicated and experienced transport team at HQ. This is a Monday to Friday position with weekends off.

  • Work 10-hour shifts between 4am and 7pm, with regular hours typically from 6am to 4pm – flexibility around these times is essential.
  • Occasional overnight stays (up to two per week) may be required, with a fixed payment for each night away.

We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Class 1 Delivery Driver to join our team on a permanent basis. As a vital member of our organisation, you will ensure the timely and safe delivery of essential equipment for our projects, while representing Conquip professionally at all times.

Main Purpose of the Role

Your primary responsibility is to work within the Transport Department to ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and effective delivery of all orders. You must consistently adhere to all driving compliance standards in a professional and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and collect Conquip products professionally, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Liaise with the Transport Manager to maintain a customer-first approach at all times.
  • Communicate proactively with the office and customers to maintain or exceed on-time delivery targets.
  • Comply fully with all relevant legislation, including Tachograph and DSA driving standards.
  • Maintain and promote a positive image of the Conquip brand to customers.
  • Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained and fully compliant with all legal and company requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Valid Class 1 licence
  • Experience driving Class 2 vehicles
