HGV Mechanic

Bradford and Marsh are recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle organisation based in Preston.

This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, ideal for someone with strong experience working on HGV trucks who can confidently carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities in this role as a HGV Mechanic / Technician:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trucks
• Interpret job cards and repair orders, ensuring all work is completed accurately
• Diagnose faults and identify any additional work required
• Accurately record work completed and any tests carried out
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Keep up to date with the latest technical training and industry developments
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet workshop targets
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety and company procedures

Requirements for this HGV Mechanic / Technician role:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HGV / Heavy Vehicle Technician or Mechanic role
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Experience working within a workshop or dealership environment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team
• Full UK Driving Licence
