HGV Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team based at our Welwyn Garden City yard.

Working within a large, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of 15 HGVs, ensuring all vehicles are kept in safe, roadworthy condition and operating at peak efficiency.

This is a Monday to Friday role, working 07:00-17:30 (9.5-hour day), with the occasional Saturday required in the event of a breakdown or urgent repair.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned maintenance inspections (PMIs) across the full fleet

* Diagnose and carry out repairs on HGVs and associated equipment

* Service and maintain a varied fleet including drum mixers, volumetric mixers, 8-wheeler tippers, and 2 concrete pumps

* Work predominantly on DAF and Renault vehicles

* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic

* Sound knowledge of heavy vehicles, ideally DAF and/or Renault

* Experience with specialist vehicles such as mixers, tippers, or concrete pumps is advantageous * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

* A professional and reliable approach to your work
