HGV Technician – South London

💰 Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per year
📍 Location: South London
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established business operating a modern in-house fleet.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to take ownership of the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers. Working in a standalone role, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet remains roadworthy and compliant, with support from external contractors for specialist and overflow work.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and trailers
• Conducting PMIs and safety inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• MOT preparation and preventative maintenance
• Ensuring compliance with DVSA and operator licence requirements
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records
• Managing workshop health and safety standards
• Liaising with the transport department regarding parts and outsourced work

✅ Requirements:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or LGV Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI, or equivalent qualification
• Good understanding of DVSA regulations
• Ability to work independently
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred but not essential

• Gas Certificate
