The Role of the HGV Technician
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and professional engineering team maintaining a modern fleet of buses.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a structured, safety-focused environment where reliability and quality are key to keeping services running efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing as HGV Technician
- Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on buses and coaches
- Attending to the daily driver reported defects
- Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical and electrical repair
- Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and company standards
- Completing safety inspections and defect rectificatio
- Supporting the wider engineering team to meet operational targets
What We’re Looking For from the HGV Technician
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Experience working on HGV, PSV, or bus and coach vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A proactive and safety-first approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
