We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle workshop in the Totton area on a permanent night shift pattern.

Working within a modern, fully equipped workshop, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring vehicles are returned to service safely and efficiently during night operations.

• Permanent night shift
• Consistent and structured rota

🔧 The Role

• Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Carry out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
• Complete MOT preparation and safety inspections
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
• Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
• Maintain high health & safety and workshop cleanliness standards
• Support overall workshop efficiency during night shift operations

🧠 Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / LGV Technician / Truck Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Solid understanding of HGV maintenance and repair procedures
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently
• Strong team ethic and professional attitude
