A leading employer in the logistics and transport industry is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their dedicated night shift workshop team in Kidderminster. Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Conducting major and minor vehicle repairs on HGVs
  • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance as a HGV Technician
  • Diagnosing faults and planning appropriate repairs
  • Maintaining accurate workshop and repair records
  • Supporting workshop cleanliness and stock management
  • Completing warranty paperwork and relevant documentation
  • Assisting with roadside breakdowns as required
  • Mentoring and supporting trainees within the workshop environment
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair & Maintenance (NVQ, IMI, or City & Guilds)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience in carrying out HGV repairs and servicing
  • Knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
  • Team-oriented approach with excellent attention to detail
