Our client, a reputable commercial dealership in Wellingborough, is actively seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their modern, state-of-the-art workshop.   • Competitive hourly rate up to £22, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Four-day working week with alternating shifts: Week 1 – Monday to Thursday, 5:00am – 3:00pm; Week 2 – Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am
  • One paid Saturday per month at 1.5x rate
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service
  • Overtime paid at time and a half (Monday to Saturday), double time on Sundays and bank holidays

Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Conduct service, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to the highest standards
  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults utilising modern diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out safety inspections, MOT preparation, and routine maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and health and safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational targets
  • Keep accurate documentation and repair records
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Proven experience working on HGV or commercial vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards your work and ongoing learning
  • Valid UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential
