Duties of the HGV Technician:
  • Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • Complete vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards
  • Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
  • Work efficiently and independently during night shifts
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support as required
Requirements for the HGV Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred
  • Previous experience working on HGVs and trailers
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
  • Right to work in the UK
