HGV Technician Opportunity – West Bromwich | Join a Growing Fleet Team

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the role of HGV Technician in West Bromwich, West Midlands. This is a permanent position with an established UK food distribution operation. You will be joining a well-regarded maintenance team where safety, efficiency, and progression are clearly supported.

Duties:
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures
  • Ensure all maintenance work meets and exceeds safety and operational standards
  • Take a safety-first approach, including proactive hazard reporting
  • Report to the shift coordinator and support the logistics team to ensure vehicles are ready to meet delivery schedules
  • Work efficiently to achieve KPI targets and maintain fleet performance
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times
Requirements for the HGV Technician Position:
  • HGV Technician qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Must have your own tools
  • HGV driving licence preferred but not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate safety-first working and proactive hazard reporting
  • Strong attention to operational standards and quality of workmanship
