HGV Engineer
Location: Bedfordshire 

KAP is working in partnership with a prestigious and expanding company within the construction sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HGV Engineer to join their established and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a large fleet of vehicles, ensuring their safe, efficient, and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance across the fleet.
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and ensure all vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs and maintenance work efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Support the smooth running and availability of the fleet.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic/Engineer.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.
• NVQ, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent time-served experience in HGV mechanics.
• Experience carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.
• Strong team player with the ability to work on your own initiative.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems, particularly on tippers and Moffett trucks, would be advantageous.
