Pay Rate: £100 – £125 per day (via anzuk Education)

anzuk Education are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded independent school in Richmond Upon Thames in their search for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic full‑time opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learning and making a meaningful impact across a wide age range.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to join the school from September 2026 The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 11-18, delivering targeted intervention sessions primarily in:

• English
• Maths
• Science

You will work closely with class teachers, learning support staff, and school leaders to raise attainment and help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver small‑group and 1:1 interventions across core subjects
• Support teaching and learning in classrooms where required
• Provide high‑quality learning support tailored to individual pupil needs
• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment in collaboration with teachers
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and positive learning environment
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

Requirements

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
• Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Science
• Experience supporting pupils in primary or lower‑secondary settings
• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills
• A proactive, collaborative, and child‑centred approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through anzuk)
