We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bradford that is looking to appoint an inspirational Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2026.

You will play a key role in supporting learning across Nursery to Year 6, delivering PPA cover and providing both planned and emergency classroom cover when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver PPA cover and classroom lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Provide planned and emergency cover across the school (Nursery–Year 6)
  • Create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Support teachers with planning, resources and lesson preparation
  • Assist with assessment, SATs administration and tracking pupil progress
  • Work in line with school behaviour systems and promote a positive ethos
  • Liaise with teaching staff, leadership and the school business manager

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • HLTA status or significant classroom experience
  • Strong experience delivering or covering whole-class lessons
  • A confident, proactive and adaptable approach
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to going the extra mile and supporting school life
