A welcoming and well-established junior school in the Salisbury area is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm (6.5-hour day), initially on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person. The role is expected to continue for a minimum of one academic year.
The Role
You will work within a large classroom environment, leading targeted small group interventions and providing additional support to pupils who would benefit from focused teaching. Working closely with class teachers and school leaders, you will play an important role in helping pupils build confidence, make progress and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted small group interventions across a range of subjects

Support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs

Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and school leaders
Requirements

Experience working with primary-aged children

Confidence leading learning activities independently

Strong communication and organisational skills

A positive, patient and proactive approach

HLTA qualification desirable but not essential

ECTs and qualified teachers are encouraged to apply
