Location: Bolton
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £32,000


I am currently working with a Powered Access hire company based in Bolton that is looking to appoint a Hire Desk Controller to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hire Desk Controller who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling incoming hire enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and efficient manner
  • Processing hire orders accurately, ensuring all details are correct
  • Coordinating deliveries and collections with customers, drivers, and depot teams
  • Liaising with the workshop to confirm equipment availability and manage turnaround times
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries, providing clear and knowledgeable support
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the day-to-day administration of the hire desk
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Hire Desk Controller within the Powered Access industry
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Confident using hire systems and standard computer software
  • Calm under pressure with a proactive and solution-focused approach
