History Teacher

Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Wakefield to recruit a passionate and dedicated History Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to join a supportive Humanities department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 depending on experience).

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a love of history, and supporting pupils in achieving their full academic potential.

• Deliver engaging and differentiated History lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Plan, prepare and assess work effectively to meet the needs of all learners
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support attainment
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities where appropriate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Specialism in History or a related Humanities subject
• Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Strong classroom management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
