HR Adviser

We are currently partnering with a well-established business to recruit an experienced HR Adviser to join their People team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional with a strong employee relations background and previous experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics or construction environment.
This is a fast-paced, operational role where you will work closely with managers across the business to provide expert HR support, manage complex ER casework, and help drive a positive employee relations culture.
The Role
As HR Adviser, you will play a key role in supporting managers across a broad range of people matters while ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation. You will be confident operating in a busy industrial environment and capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. There is also a requirement to travel between sites in Glasgow, therefore a full drivers lisence will be required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance management, and investigations
- Provide practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers and supervisors
- Support managers in handling complex people issues in line with company policy and employment law
- Build effective working relationships across operational and site-based teams
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Assist with policy implementation, organisational change, and continuous improvement projects
- Deliver coaching and training to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practice
- Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Full drivers liscence
- Previous experience in an HR Adviser or generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure
- Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, construction, or similar operational environment
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting managers in a fast-paced, operational setting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- CIPD qualification or working towards qualification desirable
