Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded HR Advisor to join our busy HR team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR generalist who has gained solid experience across the full employee lifecycle and is confident managing a high-volume employee relations caseload.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across a diverse workforce, providing practical and commercially focused HR advice. You will be responsible for managing a wide range of employee relations matters while also supporting broader HR initiatives and operational activities.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can effectively balance multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, investigations and capability issues.
• Manage a high-volume ER caseload from initial consultation through to resolution.
• Support managers with complex employee issues, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and employee development activities.
• Support organisational change projects, restructures and consultation processes as required.
• Analyse HR data and identify trends to support decision-making.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted HR partner.
About You
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has operated at HR Advisor level within a fast-paced environment and can demonstrate strong generalist HR knowledge.
You will have:
• Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
• Significant experience managing a high-volume employee relations caseload.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to HR.
• CIPD qualification or working towards qualification is desirable but not essential.
