The role

We are looking for a proactive HR Officer to join our Team in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality generalist HR service, where you will work closely with site leadership to support operational performance, employee engagement, recruitment, compliance, wellbeing, and people development.

What you will be doing?

  • Deliver a high-quality HR service to site operations, supporting managers and employees across the factory.
  • Use HR KPIs to drive continuous improvement in people and site performance.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, action plans, and recognition programmes.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance, and performance issues.
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding to maintain agreed staffing levels.
  • Coordinate occupational health, wellbeing, and mental health support.
  • Support training and development, maintaining accurate training records.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Line manage the HR Assistant to support the delivery of HR activities and administration.
  • Support the HR Director and wider HR team with the People Plan and HR projects.

What we want from you?

  • Experience working in a HR Officer (or similar) role within a fast-paced environment
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification 
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
  • Confident user of HR systems and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
