Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site EHS Advisor to support operations on a major onshore site located in Inchcape (EH32 9SF). This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable health, safety and environmental professional to join a fast-paced project on an initial 6-month contract, offering a highly competitive day rate up to £500 (Outside IR35).
This role is site-based full-time, therefore applicants must be within a commutable distance to Inchcape.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert EHS advice and support to site management and workforce
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and company procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support the development and implementation of safe systems of work
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are communicated
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across site
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to EHS standards
Requirements
- NEBOSH Diploma (essential)
- Proven experience in a Site EHS / HSE Advisor role, ideally within construction, energy, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Experience working in onsite, high-risk environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and influence positive safety behaviours
